Dear Students,
Beirut Arab University Family,
Following the previous message dated 6/10/2024 regarding the adoption of asynchronous distance learning through uploading recorded lectures on the Moodle platform, and out of our commitment to continue providing high-quality education and ensuring the future of our students at all levels, and because the university always strives to support your academic ambitions, Beirut Arab University constantly works to reinforce these values, overcoming challenges to achieve success .
While we are aware of the varying ability of some students to engage during this phase, and with our full appreciation of that, and based on our faith in you and confidence in your capabilities, the Beirut Arab University Council discussed these matters at the end of the week and evaluated this process through student interaction.
In line with the circular from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education on this matter, the University Council has decided the following:
- Adoption of in-person education at the Tripoli campus starting Tuesday, 15/10/2024, in all faculties, including lectures and practical sessions, in accordance with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education’s circular and in line with other higher education institutions in the North.
- Uploading recorded lectures on the Moodle platform for students who are unable to attend in person.
- Adoption of synchronous distance learning for the Beirut, Debbieh, and Bekaa campuses starting Monday, 14/10/2024, and uploading recorded lectures on the Moodle platform for students who are unable to attend live lectures.
- Postponing practical lessons at the Beirut, Debbieh, and Bekaa campuses for the time being.
- Reaffirming the university’s commitment to support students facing difficulties by compensating for all lectures and activities and ensuring they complete their academic year alongside other students.
We always stand by you.
May God protect Lebanon.
Stay safe .
President of Beirut Arab University,
Professor Wael Nabil Abdel Salam
