Program Description

The Master of Science (MSc) in Economics at BAU offers a comprehensive understanding of economic theories and their applications. The curriculum includes core courses in major economic topics, followed by a thesis. This program emphasizes both theory and research, preparing students to apply appropriate theoretical and methodological tools to solve specific economic problems. Graduates will also acquire the skills to apply knowledge of quantitative economics to analyze economic policy and business administration. Students will learn to retrieve and analyze data on the economic context by selecting the suitable methodologies, econometric techniques through different statistical software. Upon completion, graduates will be eligible to pursue a PhD in Economics. Students will engage in rigorous analysis, data interpretation, and research methods to address real-world economic challenges.

  • The Lebanese High School Certificate or its equivalent
  • A Bachelor's degree in the field of specialization from a university recognized by BAU with a minimum CGPA of “2.76” (conditioned) for credit-hour system students and its equivalent for the grading system students (with a certificate equivalency from the Lebanese Ministry of Education and Higher Education).

  • Evidence of English proficiency (BAU English Exam 60%, TOEFL 520 or IELTS 5.5)
