Program Description
The MBA in Accounting and Finance program is designed to equip students with advanced knowledge and skills in financial management, accounting principles, and strategic decision-making. The program integrates theoretical foundations with practical applications to prepare graduates for leadership roles in various financial and business sectors. Through a comprehensive curriculum, students develop expertise in financial reporting, corporate finance, strategic management, and managerial accounting. This program is ideal for professionals seeking to advance their careers in accounting, finance, or related fields.
The minimum period required to complete the program is two academic years. A total of 39 credit hours must be earned for graduation. Candidates holding a non-business bachelor’s degree are required to pass three foundation courses—Principles of Management, Principles of Accounting, and Principles of Economics—before enrolling in the core and elective courses of the program.

- The Lebanese High School Certificate or its equivalent
- A Bachelor's degree from a university recognized by BAU with a minimum CGPA of “3.00” for the credit-hour system and its equivalent (80%) for the grading system (with a certificate equivalency from the Lebanese Ministry of Education and Higher Education). The candidates whose CGPA is below “3.00” can enroll in the MBA program under the following two conditions:
- Condition (1): Candidates with a “2.67 ≤ CGPA < 3.00” may enroll in the program on the condition that they achieve a minimum CGPA of “3.00” in the first semester of the program.
- Condition (2): Candidates with a “2.33 ≤ CGPA < 2.67” may enroll in the program on the condition that they raise their CGPA to 3 by completing designated undergraduate courses. If they achieved a “2.67 ≤ CGPA < 3.00”, condition (1) would then be applied.
Note: The Faculty of Business Administration reviews the admission files of candidates holding bachelor’s degrees from universities that follow a grading system different from that of BAU, in accordance with the criteria set by the Lebanese Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
