Course Description
This course provides students with theoretical and practical knowledge of the application of accounting information to inform effective management decision making, and explores the role of accounting information in organisational management and leadership, business strategy, and business conduct. The course provides students with an understanding of the management information critical to internal stakeholders in achieving stated goals in the organization. The creation of useful analysis and communication of management financial information is essential to meeting internal corporate objectives. Topics covered in this course include: understanding costs, analysing cost behaviour, and costs of responsibility centres and products, budgeting and control, and strategic profit management. This course will provide students with a set of tools and models to approach difficult decisions faced each day.
