Medical Research Lab

The medical research laboratory is an interdisciplinary research center dedicated to advancement in basic and translational sciences. Located on the third floor, the laboratory offers a wide variety of research services as well as instrumentation and educational training opportunities. It also provides a broad spectrum of technologies and resources to support nucleic, proteomic and histo-pathological based initiatives for researchers. It houses mainly a core full-fledged cell culture, a fluorescence-imaging microscope, a growth incubator for microorganism, an ELISA reader, and basic equipment for nucleic acid assessment, protein purification and analysis, drug screening, and immune-histo-chemistry analysis. The medical research laboratory compliments other specialized university research laboratories in other campuses. It is intended primarily to serve BAUFM staff and students, other university faculty members, and both national and international research collaborators.
