The Faculty of Medicine, Beirut Arab University awards a “Specialist” title for MBBCh holders who spent a one year internship followed by successful completion of a number of years as a resident at one of the affiliated hospitals.
The number of years and the exact name of specially follows the Lebanese Ministry of Health Directory.
The first residents batch graduated in the following specialties: Internal Medicine,Pediatrics and Psychiatrics in the academic year 2004/2005.
In the academic year 2005/2006: Obstetrics and Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Anesthesia, Gastroenterology and Otorhinolaryngology.
