The Faculty of Medicine is proud to announce that Miss Miralynn Awwad has been awarded Second Place for Best Poster Presentation at the 3rd National Research Day, held on 30 May 2026 at the Lebanese University.

Her research project, entitled “Predictors and Neonatal Outcomes of Emergency Primary Cesarean Delivery for Non-Reassuring Fetal Heart Rate: A Lebanese Tertiary Center Study,” was recognized for its scientific merit and innovation.

The competition brought together medical students from medical schools across Lebanon, with more than 200 posters presented during the event. Securing second place in such a highly competitive environment reflects the quality of the research, the dedication of the student researcher, and the effectiveness of the mentorship and training provided through the PROMISE Program.

In addition, the Faculty is pleased to recognize Mr. Adam Khalifa Al Rawwas and the research team, whose project, “Prevalence of Prediabetes and its Risk Factors among University Students,” was selected as the Best Research Presented from the Faculty of Medicine at Beirut Arab University during the event. The project was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Bilal Azakir. These achievements further highlight the Faculty of Medicine’s commitment to promoting high-quality research, fostering innovation, and supporting the development of future physician-scientists.
