The Medical School Advisory Board meeting was held on 27/11/2013, in the presence of Pr. Antoine Boustany President of the Lebanese Order of Physician , Dr Mariam Rajab Chairperson – institutional review board, Dr Zeina Hammoud Head of internal Medicine Department ,Mr Azzam Houri Director of the Hospital Dar Al- Ajaza Al -Islamia hospital, Dr Hassan Abdallah Medical Director Ryak Hospital ,Dr Walid Alame Medical Director Sahel General Hospital,Dr Haitham Zarzour Chief of Medical staff Al-Zahraa University Hospital ,Dr Mohamad Mofid Assi civil society associations representative, Dr Mohamad Houri Assistant Dean Faculty of Medicine BAU.

 The attendees discussed the new selection criteria for the physicians applying to the residency program for the academic year 2014/2015; the criteria this year will include the results of the IFOM exam provided by the National Board of Medical Examiners, USA. The board also discussed the standardization of curricula and assessment amongst the different hospitals affiliated with the University. Clinical titles awarding, was a topic that was also tackled.
