An interesting lecture entitled “Medical Education in the 21st Century, Future and Challenges” has been held by Prof Hossam Hamdy, PhD, Professor of Medical Education, on Thursday April 3rd, 2014,at 5:00 PM in Jamal Abdel Naser Hall, Main Building, Beirut Arab University, Beirut Campus.

The Lecture was attended, by Prof. Dr. Amr Galal El Adawi, the President of BAU, Mr. Issam Houri, Secretary General,  Vices’ President, Prof Najlaa Mashaal Dean Faculty of Medicine, Deans’ Assistants of Medical Faculties;  Prof. Mohamed Khedr, previous dean faculty of Medicine BAU, The Representatives of Deans of Faculties in Beirut Arab University, the directors and representatives of affiliated  hospitals, the representatives Deans of the Faculties of Medicine in Lebanon,and Medical Students.

Prof Hossam Hamdy, Pediatric Surgery, Vice-Chancellor & Dean of the Medical College, University of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (UAE),Vice President of World Federation Medical Education, EMRO – WHO, 2005 – 2011, discussed in lecture the latest trends  in teaching and the integrated outcome based curricula, and the need to incorporate research learning from the early phase of education.
