Mediscope, a team of motivated medical students, organized an interactive session for first-year medical students at BAU on September 8, 2025, at the Beirut campus – Faculty of Medicine. The session aimed to welcome the new students, provide guidance, and address their questions and concerns. Senior students gave a general overview of the medical school at BAU, highlighting both challenges and opportunities of medical education. Practical advice was shared on studying, as well as time and stress management. Common challenges that students may face during their first year or later in medical school were also addressed, with seniors sharing personal experiences on how to overcome them. The session ended with an open panel where new students had the space to ask questions and receive direct insights from seniors. Overall, the session succeeded in reassuring students, breaking the ice, and creating a strong connection with students from older years.
