Community Based Education is learning approach recently introduced to fifth year Medicine Students at Faculty of Medicine - BAU.

The overall objective of the module  is to build up core capacities through graduates who are competent in dealing with community health problems so that they can work efficiently as family practitioners to save individuals, families and the whole community.

Along the training, Many site visits are carried out by the students under the supervision of the module moderator Professor Azza Abou El Naga and family medicine preceptors, these include Ajyalona polyclinics, Oum El Nour (an institution for rehabilitation from drug addiction), Sesobel (an institution for rehabilitation of disabled individuals) as well as visits carried to Dar el Ajaza and Rafik Hariri Hospitals.
