One of the goals behind the ASCE society is to create a sense of belonging and enhance the community as a whole. Hence, the ASCE student chapter at Beirut Arab University organized, for its first charity event, a bake sale entitled “Bake for Hope”.
The ASCE committee members prepared a variety of homemade and store bought snacks and food. Engineering students from different departments participated along with faculty members.
By the end of the day, the student chapter was able to raise around 1000$. The money collected from the bake sale was entirely donated to Balsam, a center of palliative care.
