Dr. Khouloud Housary is a Clinical Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Beirut Arab University. She holds a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D) degree from Beirut Arab University, awarded in 2024, and a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the same institution, awarded in 2022.

Her academic and professional interests focus on Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice, with particular emphasis on patient-centered care, medication therapy optimization, medication safety, and evidence-based pharmacy services. Her work also encompasses the integration of clinical research and experiential education to strengthen pharmacy practice and improve patient care outcomes.

Dr. Housary has experience in teaching clinical and professional practice courses, including Integrated Case-Based Learning (ICBL) and Pharmacy Practice Experiential courses. She actively contributes to experiential education, interdisciplinary collaboration, student mentoring, and academic and community outreach initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and advancing the role of pharmacists in healthcare.

Her research interests center on pharmacy practice and clinical outcomes, including medication use patterns, patient education, medication adherence, and health-related behaviors. She is actively involved in practice-based research and evidence generation addressing medication-related and healthcare challenges. She is a co-author of a nationwide study on oral contraceptive pill shortages in Lebanon, published in BMC Health Services Research in 2023.

Through her academic, teaching, and research activities, Dr. Housary is committed to advancing patient-centered pharmacy practice, clinical education, and evidence-based healthcare, while supporting the development of future pharmacists and contributing to improvements in pharmacy services.
