As dean, I am proud to lead a team of diverse outstanding faculty, staff, students, and alumni. Being leader in pharmacy education and research in Lebanon, the faculty offers high quality programs at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Moreover, the faculty struggles to seek innovation and excellence in pharmacy education, research, and practices thus we continually revise our programs to meet the national and international benchmarks and to maintain accreditation from the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP).
The undergraduate curriculum integrates the knowledge in pharmaceutical sciences and applied skills in the clinical sciences along with practices in experiential program. This uniquely designed balanced curriculum set the faculty apart from its peers while meeting the advancements in the healthcare systems and pharmacy profession. Therefore, our graduates are competent pharmacists who are able to pursue a wide range of local, regional, and international career opportunities, in community and hospital pharmacies, pharmaceutical industries, academic and research institutions and centers.
Our PharmD program, which is a one-year program, prepares distinguished clinical pharmacists who act as effective members of the medical team aiming to optimize the patient outcomes and safety and to minimize healthcare expenditures.
The faculty offers Master and PhD degrees in different pharmaceutical sciences domains that are recognized by the ministry of higher education in Lebanon. The postgraduate programs rely on qualified experts and highly equipped laboratory facilities. The strength of these programs is reflected by the numerous research publications in national and international journals and congresses.
I would like to highlight that the acceptance to the pharmacy program at BAU is highly competitive, because admitted students will be the future leaders in the pharmacy profession.
