Biography

Dr. Mohamad El Dandachy is an Associate Professor of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Beirut Arab University. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (Materials) from Université Grenoble Alpes (2016), an M.S. in Geomechanics from Joseph Fourier University, and an M.E. in Structures from Lebanese University. His expertise includes construction materials, concrete durability, thermo-hydro-mechanical behavior, experimental testing, and finite element modeling. His experience spans teaching, research, and postdoctoral work in Lebanon and France. He has authored over 30 publications and reviews for international journals.

Research Interests

My research focuses on sustainable construction materials, including low-carbon concrete, geopolymer composites, and waste-derived binders. My expertise includes mechanical performance, durability, transport properties, thermo-hydro-mechanical behavior, and bond strength for structural repair. I combine experimental testing, numerical modeling, and machine learning to understand material behavior and optimize mixture design.
