Dr. Adnan Masri is currently a full-time Professor of Structural Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Civil & Environmental Engineering Department, Beirut Arab University. He started his academic career at BAU since 1995. He had accomplished his M.S.E. and Ph.D. degrees in Civil Engineering at University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, U.S.A. in 1990 and 1994, respectively. He finished his undergraduate studies at BAU in 1987. Currently, Dr. Masri acts as the chairperson of the CEE Department.

  • Engineering Advisor for Societe Mediteranne des Grand Hotels (owners of Beirut Grand Hyatt Hotel at Solidere District with estimated cost of $200 Million US Dollars), (1996-2008).
  • Analysis, design and detailing of composite steel-concrete roadway bridges in Tajekistan, (2008).
  • Modeling, design and detailing of several steel structures: canopies-suspended stairs – chiller decks – mezzanines, (2007-2008).
  • Assessment of 20 buildings Damaged at Beirut southern suburb proceeding July’06 asssult.
  • Dynamic analysis using for several multi-story residential buildings in Beirut, (2005-2006).
  • Rehabilitation and strengthening for 12 residential buildings in Naameh Compound, (2002).
