Senior pharmacy students from the Faculty of Pharmacy delivered an educational workshop focused on Behçet’s Disease at Mount Lebanon Hospital – Balamand University Medical Center. The workshop provided an overview of the disease’s pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, and therapeutic options, with students emphasizing evidence-informed practices and the importance of early recognition and coordinated care.

The workshop was prepared and delivered under the supervision of Dr. Rawad Hayouk, Clinical Lecturer at the Faculty of Pharmacy. The session was moderated by Dr. Rania Itani, Clinical Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Dr. Patricia Shuhaiber, Clinical and Quality Pharmacy Manager at Mount Lebanon Hospital.

The event brought together policymakers, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, medical interns and residents, along with faculty members and senior pharmacy students from BAU, fostering a collaborative learning environment and reinforcing BAU’s commitment to advancing clinical pharmacy education and interprofessional engagement.
