On behalf of the University President Prof. Wael Nabil Abdelsalam, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Prof. Abdalla El-Lakany, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Makhzoumi Foundation, represented by its President, Mrs. May Makhzoumi, on Friday, November 7, 2025.
This meaningful partnership provides our Pharmacy students with invaluable hands-on training at Makhzoumi Foundation Primary Healthcare Center, which offers essential medical services to the Lebanese community. Through this collaboration, students will work alongside the Foundation’s expert medical teams, further strengthening their clinical competencies and preparing them for successful careers in healthcare. This collaboration also supports Makhzoumi Foundation by strengthening its healthcare workforce, expanding its outreach capacity, and enhancing the impact of its community health programs through joint efforts with the Faculty of Pharmacy.
In addition, students will actively participate in the health awareness campaigns and engage in the Foundation’s Mobile Medical Unit activities. These initiatives aim to deliver primary health services and promote public health among vulnerable individuals and underserved communities.
We are proud of this collaboration, which reinforces our commitment to community engagement, experiential learning, and improving healthcare outcomes in Lebanon.
