Dr. Mohammed M. Mehanna, Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Pharmacy, Beirut Arab University, has awarded Fellowship in Responsible Conduct of Research at University of California San Diego (USA) and Jordan University of Science and Technology (Jordan) on 5th November 2019, Hashemite kingdom of Jordan.


RCR is defined as the “practice of scientific investigation with integrity”. It involves the awareness and application of established professional norms and ethical principles in the performance of all activities related to scientific research. The research infrastructure in the Arab countries is variable and might be more robust in one country than the other, but research ethics is still not well established in most of these countries. The program involves graduate-level courses work and a practicum aim at developing the next generation of researchers to carry out high quality and ethically acceptable research. The Project is led by the University of California San Diego (UCSD) in collaboration with Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST).
