The Faculty of Pharmacy at Beirut Arab University, in collaboration with the Tripoli Municipality, the Ministry of Public Health, and Makarem Primary Healthcare Center, organized a community service event titled “Safe Fasting: Managing Diabetes During Ramadan” on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Sahat Al-Tell Park in Tripoli.
This initiative aimed to support individuals with or at high risk of Type II Diabetes Mellitus by promoting safe fasting practices during the holy month of Ramadan.
During the event, faculty members, physicians, pharmacists, nurses, dietitians, and pharmacy students provided free blood glucose and blood pressure screening, conducted personalized risk assessments for fasting safety, offered personalized treatment optimization and medication adjustment guidance, and delivered educational support to minimize health risks and enhance overall well-being.
The Faculty of Pharmacy at BAU remains committed to improving public health through education and community engagement.
