Minister of Information, Dr. Paul Morcos, confirmed that the ministry has submitted a draft law ensuring that journalists may present their cases before specialized judicial bodies. He expressed hope that the law would be approved soon by Parliament. He also stated that efforts are underway to appoint qualified and experienced professionals at Télé Liban, and that the application process for membership on its Board of Directors has been opened.

The Minister’s remarks came in response to questions posed by students from the Department of Media at the Faculty of Human Sciences at Beirut Arab University, who visited him in his office yesterday as part of a tour of the Ministry of Media. They were accompanied by the Head of the Department, Dr. Iman Alwan, Dr. Ola Jaber, and the visit was prepared and supervised by Professor Rita Najm Al-Roumi, Director of Radio Programs.

The tour began with a visit to the ministry's radio studios, with the first stop being the Fairuz Studio, which will soon celebrate her diamond jubilee. The students also visited the Halim El Roumi Studio and the Nasri Shamseddine Studio, where they listened to rare recordings from the audio library archives.

Later, the students participated in a live broadcast on Radio Lebanon, during which they spoke about the goals of their visit, their impressions, and their aspirations in the media field. The tour concluded at the National News Agency, where they were briefed on the news editing process by the Director of the Agency, Mr. Ziad Harfoush, and the Editor-in-Chief, Ms. Randa Jamaleddine.
