In response to an invitation by the Coalition for the Dignity and Rights of Women, Prof. Mayssah El Nayal participated in the webinar organized under the title “We will not be silent about violence: Ratify Convention C190”, on 14th March 2022. Prof. El Nayal, in her talk, discussed on the roots and factors giving rise to violence against women in its various forms, with special focus on the psychological perspective.
The talk also dealt with the psychological disorders suffered by women upon exposure to violence, such as behavioural and personality disorders. The webinar was attended by a wide audience from various parts of the Arab World, including activists and academics from Morocco, Egypt, Lebanon, Kuwait among others.
