The IEEE Beirut Arab University Debbieh branch, in collaboration with Beirut AI and sponsored by Zaka, hosted the Introduction to Artificial Intelligence workshop on the 28th of February. This workshop was part of the ongoing workshop series organized by the IEEE Lebanon Section.
The attendees were introduced to the fundamentals of AI, its techniques, and its growing importance. They learned about real-world applications of AI and gained hands-on experience with data collection, cleaning, and model training for optimal results.
Haidar Jomaa, a senior Computer Science student at the Lebanese University and a passionate AI advocate, led the workshop. Haidar brings a wealth of experience as a research intern, technical ambassador, and AI lead for various organizations.
