Associate Professor of Biology

Tarek Houri, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at Beirut Arab University. He holds a Ph.D. in Life Sciences and Health (2012) from Auvergne University, France. His academic training also includes an M.S. in Animal Physiology, Biomolecules, and Therapeutics from the University of François Rabelais, Tours, France (2007), and a B.S. in Biology from Beirut Arab University (2006). Dr. Houri's research and teaching interests are grounded in this robust, international foundation in the life sciences.

Dr. Houri's research interests lie at the intersection of physiology, environmental health, and molecular biology. His work likely focuses on understanding the biological mechanisms of disease and physiological adaptation, with a particular emphasis on the impacts of environmental stressors. This research encompasses areas such as cellular and animal physiology, biomarker discovery, and the development of therapeutic strategies, contributing to broader goals of environmental and public health.

Dr. Tarek Houri's research program investigates the interface of biological systems with their environment. Key areas of interest include:
