Assistant Professor of Computer Science


Dr. Abdallah Dabboussi is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Science, Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, Beirut Arab University, with a strong background in telecommunications and computer science. He earned his Ph.D. in Engineering Science (Telecom and Informatics) from Université Bourgogne Franche-Comté in 2019, following an M.S. from the University of Balamand (2004) and a B.S. from the Lebanese University (2001).

With over two decades of experience in Telecommunications, Networking, and Cybersecurity, Dr. Dabboussi is both an accomplished academic and a seasoned engineering professional. He has taught a wide range of university courses, including Cloud Computing, Computer Networks, and Cybersecurity, across several leading universities.

Dr. Dabboussi effectively bridges academic theory and practical implementation through his extensive industry experience, having led multiple IT infrastructure and cybersecurity projects as a Consulting Engineer. He is also a certified Cisco Academy Instructor and an active member of several scientific and community service committees.

Research Interest

Dr. Dabboussi's research interests focus on advanced topics in telecommunications and informatics, including Cybersecurity, the Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud Computing, and the dependability of Connected Autonomous Vehicles (CAVs) and Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs), with a particular emphasis on Wireless Network reliability. He has published several peer-reviewed papers in these domains.

Dr. Dabboussi is responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive curricula that bridge theory and practice through hands-on labs and case studies. His teaching encompasses a wide range of subjects, including:
