Prof. Mohammad El-Dakdouki, Head of the Department of Chemistry at Beirut Arab University, participated as a keynote speaker at the International Conference “From Olive to Oil: Towards Sustainable Production and Global Market Excellence”, held on December 10, 2025, at the Higher Institute of Biotechnology of Sfax, University of Sfax, Tunisia. The conference gathered international experts, researchers, and industry stakeholders to explore innovative solutions for advancing sustainability across the olive oil value chain. In his keynote lecture entitled “Materials with Impact and Value: Innovating Sustainable Solutions with Nature”, Prof. El-Dakdouki presented cutting-edge developments in green chemistry, sustainable materials, and waste valorization, emphasizing their role in promoting circular economy practices and supporting environmentally responsible production. During his visit, Prof. El-Dakdouki also engaged in discussions with colleagues and institutional leaders to explore future collaborations between the two institutions, paving the way for joint research initiatives and academic exchange opportunities. His participation reflects BAU’s commitment to sustainability-driven research, international engagement, and fostering impactful scientific partnerships.
