Trip to Jbeil and Jounieh

08 December 2012

The 2nd installment of our student oriented festivities for 2012 was a trip to Jbeil and Jounieh. As expected, the crowd was enthusiastic and energetic as the journey kicked off Saturday December, 8. Surely enough, no gathering is ever truly complete without the participation of our faculty professors and staff.
As described by our students, the trip was the perfect opportunity to blow off some steam as the exams are approaching near. The old streets and ruins of Jbeil were a delight to our group as a lot of us got to explore the old Lebanese heritage for the first time.
Now as for the telefrique, that was a whole new different experience! It was all fun and games until some of us finally confronted their demons. “ PLEASE DON’T MAKE ME DO THIS!!” Abed said; “ I HAVE A TERRIBLE FEAR OF HEIGHTS!!!”. Laughter echoed all throughout Harissa and many immortalized the moment with photos taken from above.
“FINALLY!! FOOD!!!” was the most heard phrase as we approached Manuella restaurant in Jounieh. Sure a well cooked meal is great but nothing beats a good friendly atmosphere!! And that’s exactly what we had there, a chance to converse, laugh and share our experiences of a lovely journey.
