The Math Competition for Schools in Lebanon (MCSL 2026) is a national academic event hosted by Beirut Arab University, bringing together high school students from across Lebanon to celebrate mathematical talent, logic, and creativity
Organized by the Faculty of Science - Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Beirut Arab University, this initiative reflects the University's commitment to fostering intellectual curiosity and academic excellence among young learners.
The competition aims to promote mathematical thinking, enhance problem-solving and teamwork skills, and inspire students to explore the beauty and depth of mathematics beyond the classroom. It also seeks to strengthen the connection between schools and the academic community, while highlighting the essential role of mathematics in advancing science, technology, and innovation.
With the goal of discovering young and talented mathematicians and math enthusiasts, MCSL 2026 will take place on February 7, 2026, at BAU Debbieh Campus. Students will compete in teams of three, tackling challenging problems in Calculus, Algebra, Probability, Trigonometry, and Geometry.
This team-based format encourages collaboration, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving, allowing participants to combine their strengths and showcase their mathematical skills.
MCSL 2026 marks the beginning of what Beirut Arab University envisions as an annual national tradition dedicated to celebrating and nurturing Lebanon's next generation of mathematical thinkers.
