Dr. Salim MOUSSA has been selected to be one of the 4 participants who joined the training entitled: Bio-risk Management and the Shipping of Infectious substances and biological specimens, from 9 to 11 July 2019. This workshop was under the supervision of the Middle East Institute for Security (MESIS) in Jordan and funded by the European Union. During this workshop, participants learned the importance of Biosecurity and Biosafety measures and how to prevent biological and toxic threats (weapons) to animal and human health at work and during shipping. From this training, we note that the Bio-risk management becomes an urgent need in the Lebanese laboratories. The director of Princess Haya Biotechnology Center (PHBC) in Irbid, delivered a certificate of participation to the workshop and a special trophy for participants.
