The Faculty of Architecture- Design & built Environment at Beirut Arab University congratulates its graduate, Arch. Rodrigue Maghames, after being honored at the Xposure International Photography Festival in Sharjah - United Arab Emirates.
Rodrigue was chosen by the jury of the festival for his photo, titled ‘The Reader’ capturing a moment of a 10-year-old boy called Hussein who was eagerly reading a book in a garbage dump in an area near Beirut.
This picture was shared widely on social media platforms and in several newspapers, local and international news channels. Several parties also took care of educating this child, who expressed his love for science despite the difficult living conditions of his family.
