المجتمع معرفة، والمعرفة قوة
هذا هو الشعار الواجب رفعه من قبل مجتمع كلية الحقوق والعلوم السياسية في جامعة بيروت العربية، من اعضاء الهيئة الاكاديمية والادارية والعاملين والطلاب وكذلك الخريجين، كي يكونوا رواد حركة الإصلاح والتغيير والنهضة في مجتمعنا اللبناني ومجتمعاتنا العربية. فانتصارنا في معترك الحياة لن يتحقق الا بالمعرفة التي هي القوة التي نتسلح بها لنحقق الانتصار على الجهل ولنرتقي الى مصاف الأمم المتقدمة. فالتكن كلية الحقوق والعلوم السياسية في جامعة بيروت العربية السباقة في رفع هذا الشعار والعمل بموجبه، فهي تعد من أولى الكليات التي تم إنشاؤها في هذه الجامعة عام 1960 والتي تبوئت الريادة بين نظيراتها على المستوى المحلي والعربي في تدريس العلوم والمعارف القانونية والسياسية، وفقاً للمناهج الأكاديمية المعترف بها عالمياً، الأمر الذي مكنها من الإسهام في تكوين العقل القانوني والسياسي اللبناني والعربي، وتخريج الآلاف الذين شغلوا ويشغلون ارفع المناصب في لبنان والعالم العربي. هذه الكلية التي تولى التدريس فيها منذ نشأتها نخبة من الأساتذة هم من صفوة الأساتذة في مجال التدريس الأكاديمي القانوني والسياسي في لبنان والعالم العربي والذين ساهموا بمؤلفاتهم في إثراء المكتبة القانونية والسياسية في لبنان والعالم العربي. إن استراتيجية هذه الكلية للأعوام القادمة منطلقة من هذا الشعار ومبنية على انجازات ناهزت الخمسة والستين عاماً، يحذوها امل الاستمرار برسالتها والولوج الى مستقبل مشرق للبنان وعالمنا العربي.
Society is knowledge, knowledge is power
This is the slogan that must be raised by the community of the Faculty of Law and Political Science at Beirut Arab University, members of the academic and administrative staff, employees, students, as well as graduates, so that they can be pioneers of the movement for reform, change, and renaissance in our Lebanese society and our Arab societies. Our victory in the arena of life will not be achieved except with knowledge, which is the power with which we arm ourselves to achieve victory over ignorance and rise to the ranks of advanced nations.
The Faculty of Law and Political Science at Beirut Arab University should be the first to raise this slogan and work accordingly, as it is one of the first faculties established at this university in 1960 and which took the lead among its counterparts at the local and Arab levels in teaching legal and political sciences and knowledge, in accordance with recognized international academic curricula, which enabled it to contribute to the formation of the Lebanese and Arab legal and political mind, and the graduation of thousands who have held the highest positions in Lebanon and the Arab world. This Faculty, since its inception, a group of elite professors in the field of academic legal and political sciences from Lebanon and the Arab world have been teaching at it, who have contributed with their writings to enriching the legal and political library in Lebanon and the Arab world.
The strategy of this Faculty for the coming years is based on this slogan and built on the achievements of nearly sixty-five years, with the hope of continuing its mission and reaching a bright future for Lebanon and our Arab world.
