Prof Daniel Friel delivered the DBA course “Contemporary Global Management” over three intensive days 29, 30 November and 1st of December 2019 on the Faculty premises in Beirut.
Dr. Daniel Friel is an Associate Professor of Strategic Management at the Universidad de San Andrés in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He received a Ph.D. in Political Science from the New School for Social Research in New York. His work focuses on the impact of institutions on the strategies and export policies of firms in Latin America. He has taught classes for universities ranging from New York University to Universidad Rosario in Colombia. He has conducted research on local and international companies operating in Latin America. He has also conducted extensive research on the wine industry in Argentina. He has published articles in academia journals such as the Journal of Development Economics, Human Relations, Journal of International Management and the Academy of Management Perspectives. He has also published a business case with IVEY Publishing. He has worked for Prudential Securities, the Swiss Consulting Group and Austral Group advising executives how to adapt their operations to the institutional contexts across the globe.
