A significant milestone in the Morale project dissemination and networking activities was the participation in the dialogue “Higher Education in times of collapse – The perspective of project implementers and organisations”, organized by HOPES-LEB in partnership with the National Erasmus+ Office of Lebanon on March 17, 2022.

This dialogue was the second in a series of stakeholder dialogues and meetings, aiming to discuss the current situation in the higher education sector in Lebanon and its impact on students and education providers, and to explore further approaches and recommendations.

The project coordinator, Dr. Sobhi Abou Chahine, represented MORALE at this event. Dr. Abou Chahine was part of a distinguished panel that included representatives from Lebanese University, Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK), shareQ NGO/ProAbled, and the Lebanese Organization for Studies and Training (LOST). The panel's discussion focused on the main challenges encountered during implementation, possible mitigation measures, and lessons learned.

This participation was not only an opportunity to share the project's experiences but also to learn from the experiences of other professionals and academics. It underscored the critical role of projects like MORALE in supporting higher education amidst the current socio-political and economic crisis in Lebanon.
