Electronicstructureoftheiron-basedsuperconductor(La,Eu)FeAsO1-xFxinvestigatedbylaserphotoemissionspectroscopy
Abstract
Wehaveimplementedlaserphotoemissionspectroscopy(PES)toinvestigatetheelectronicstructureof
the iron-basedsuperconductor(La,Eu)FeAsO1-xFx (LaEu1111)whichisaninterestingcompoundinthe
“1111” family showingahighvalueofthesuperconducting(SC)transitiontemperature(Tc) duetoEu
doping. AtleasttwoenergyscaleswereobservedfromthePESdataintheSCcompound:Oneat
∼14meVclosingaround Tc and thuscorrespondingtotheSCgap.Anotherenergyscaleappearsat
∼35 meVandsurvivesattemperaturesabove Tc which representsthepseudogap(PG).Thenon-SC
sample (La,Eu)FeAsOshowsaPGat ∼ 41meV.Theseobservationsinthisnewsuperconductorare
consistent withthegeneraltrendfollowedbyothercompoundsinthe “1111” family.
