The United States Ambassador to Lebanon Dorothy Shea, the Cultural Attaché Hermila Yifter and the Academic Activities Coordinator Mr. Elie Ferneiny visited Beirut Arab University– Tripoli branch ¬¬¬on the 15th of November 2021 where they were welcomed by Professor Khaled Baghdady, Vice President in Tripoli Branch, Mr. Mohammad Hammoud, Administrative Director in Tripoli branch and the Director of Public Relations Mrs. Zina Ariss in addition to faculty directors. Ambassador Shea dedicated this visit to meet university students and discuss ways of enhancing relations, scientific and academic cooperation, and exchange experiences between the university and American universities and research centers.
During the meeting, Professor Baghdadi mentioned the plans and strategies that the university is working on such as the comprehensive modernization processes and academic developments in accordance with the most important international accreditations obtained by the university. Additionally, he discussed the university’s work on conveying all scientific and technological developments as well as global knowledge to maintain the quality of higher education in Lebanon. Professor Baghdadi emphasized on the university’s current focus on refining and building students’ abilities and skills according to the needs of the current period, society and local, Arab and international labor markets.
