In cooperation with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers IEEE as well as the Doctoral School of Science and Technology and the Faculty of Engineering at the Lebanese University, the Faculty of Science at BAU-Tripoli Branch organised a scientific day with a series of lectures under the title of “Biotechnology between Science and Engineering”. The event was attended by Vice-President for Tripoli Branch Affairs Professor Khaled Baghdadi, Dean of Faculty of Science Professor Ramadan Awad, Dean of Graduate Studies at the Lebanese University Dr. Fawaz Omar, Director of the Doctoral School of Science and Technology and IEEE in Lebanon and North Africa Dr. Mohammad Khalil.
The Scientific Day was opened with the Student Sara Karroum who delivered a speech on the significance of Scientific Research and the contribution of technology in the development of research in Tripoli.
Dr. Fawwaz Omar expressed his gratitude for such collaboration, and Professor Khalil presented the research and contributions supported by the IEEE.
In turn, Professor Baghdadi thanked all students as well as the Academic and Administrative Staff who contributed to the success of this event.
Lectures were delivered by Dr. Bilal Osta, Dr. Douaa Gharib, Dr. Catherine K. Marque from the University of Technology of Compiègne, Dr. Guy Carrault from Université de Rennes- France and student Aya Kabbara from the Lebanese University.
The day concluded with the distribution of Commemorative shields to the lecturers and the delivery of certificates to the organizing students.
