Beirut Arab University, represented by its President, Professor Wael Nabil Abdel Salam, signed a five-year protocol of cooperation with the Customs Administration, represented by the Director General of Customs, Mr. Raymond El Khoury, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the University, Dr. Omar Houri, Dean of Graduate Studies and Research Affairs Professor Hania Nakkash and Lieutenant Bchara Sidawi.
This Protocol aims to provide high-quality educational service to the staff and members of the Customs Administration and provide them with the opportunity to study at the University in order to enhance and activate their capabilities. The two parties also agreed to reflect academic cooperation and exchange experiences and information among them.
The University employs its capacities and capabilities to meet the future scientific needs of Customs Administration personnel and members where this is part of its national educational mission. Through this Protocol the university provides them with the opportunity and scientific and financial support for them and for their family members who wish to obtain university education in some of its approved disciplines.
Beirut Arab University shall also offer specific courses that will be agreed upon in accordance with the needs of students in the Customs Administration and in accordance with the University’s potentials. It is worth mentioning that Beirut Arab University, in compliance to its strategy in the service of the community, has always sought to serve the members of both public and private institutions
