Beirut Arab University represented by its President Professor Wael Nabil Abdel Salam, has signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding with the Early Childhood Intervention Lebanon (ECIL) represented by the President of the Imam Sadr Foundation Mrs. Rabab Al-Sadr.
This agreement establishes a framework for academic and clinical training cooperation in the field of Dentistry. The partnership aims to enhance the oral and dental health of children benefiting from the center’s services while expanding research and training opportunities for BAU dental students.
The signing ceremony was attended by the BAU Secretary General Dr. Omar Houri, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry Professor Magued Hosny Fahmy, Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry Dr. Ahmad Tarabaih, Dr. Jamal Houneini, Director of the ECIL Association Mrs. Maliha Al-Sadr, Director General Mr. Najad Sharafeddine, Partnerships and Development Coordinator Ms. Rawiya Jouni, and the accompanying delegation.
The memorandum outlines several collaborative initiatives, including conducting regular oral and dental health examinations for all children served by the center, providing educational activities for parents and caregivers to promote preventative health, contributing to specialized programs for children with feeding difficulties, sensory disorders, or syndromes that impact oral health, facilitating collaborative research and applied projects to promote evidence-based clinical practices.
This cooperation opens broader horizons for the exchange of expertise and the modernization of curricula, ensuring they keep pace with the latest scientific and technical advancements in the field of dentistry.
