Beirut Arab University (BAU), represented by its President, Professor Wael Nabil Abdel Salam (acting through the Dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Science Professor Mohammad Walid Abdel Rahim), and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture in Beirut and Mount Lebanon, represented by its Chairman Mr. Mohamad Shoucair, have signed a one-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
This agreement aims to develop specialized training programs in arbitration, enhancing professional competencies in a fast-paced business environment. Additionally, it emphasizes supporting continuing education and establishing nationally and internationally accredited programs in arbitration and mediation. These initiatives seek to cultivate a generation of skilled arbitrators capable of resolving domestic and international disputes efficiently.
The MoU further outlines collaboration in organizing regional conferences, joint training programs, and the exchange of expertise in academic accreditation and research development.
This partnership serves as a robust platform for training professional arbitrators, elevating industry standards, and bolstering the national economy by strengthening arbitration and mediation mechanisms in Lebanon and the broader region.
