Beirut Arab University hosted a national exploitation seminar at Debbieh campus within the framework of the Erasmus+ CBHE ELEGANT Project “Enhancing Teaching, Learning and Graduate Employability through University-Enterprise Cooperation” on March 7th, 2023. The seminar covered the dissemination of the project’s achievements and celebrated the launching of Innovation HUB, which is directly related to the ELEGANT project.
The opening speeches were given by: President of Beirut Arab University, Prof. Amr Galal El-Adawi, the Project Coordinator, Prof. Nebojsa Stojcic from University of Dubrovnik (UNIDU), Dean of Student Affairs at BAU, Prof. Sobhi Abou Chahine, Coordinator of ELEGANT project at BAU, Prof. Aref Al Soufi, Project Officer Erasmus+ (Adult Education) at European Commission, Mrs. Orla Colclough, and Director General of Higher Education in Lebanon, Dr. Mazen Al Khatib.
Prof. Amr Galal El-Adawi welcomed the participants, stating that BAU’s relevant strategic objectives are aligned with the objectives of this project, especially for Innovation Hub, which was established in 2019 to achieve the sustainable development goals concerning the SDG9 industry, innovation, and infrastructure where BAU is responsible for the cluster of this goal in accordance with the International Association of Universities (IAU) initiative.
The seminar included discussions on all the topics presented to reach the project’s desired goals, which aim to enhance university enterprise cooperation in Lebanon in order to improve the teaching and learning experience of students and enhance the employability of graduates.
