Beirut Arab University, represented by its President, Professor Wael Nabil Abdel Salam, signed a three-year cooperation agreement with the Zakat Fund in Lebanon, represented by the President of the Board of Trustees, Consul Mohamed Al Jouzou. The agreement aims to establish the Zakat Fund for Support and Scholarships at the University.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Beirut Arab University, Dr. Ammar Houry; the Vice-President of the Zakat Fund, Mr. Samer Al Safah; Zakat Fund Director Sheikh Zouheir Al Kebbi; Mr. Khoder Lawand; Mrs. Yousra Sidani; BAU Secretary-General Dr. Omar Houri; and the Dean of Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, Dr. Hania Nakkash.
The agreement also aims to strengthen frameworks for cooperation and coordination between the two parties, fostering a partnership based on a unified vision to support Lebanese youth. This collaboration seeks to enhance their capabilities and provide educational opportunities to help them overcome future challenges.
