Beirut Arab University has once again demonstrated its commitment to excellence and global engagement by securing the top position in Lebanon and an impressive 65th place worldwide among the "Most International Universities in the World 2024," according to Times Higher Education (THE).

The rankings, compiled by THE, assessed several key factors, including the proportion of international staff, international students, international co-authorship, and international reputation metrics which were derived from the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2024. The universities featured in this list are recognized for their significant international presence, well-established global research collaborations, and strong international reputation.

THE's methodology for determining the rankings involved equally weighted performance indicators: the proportion of international staff, proportion of international students, international co-authorship, and international reputation. International co-authorship refers to research papers produced in collaboration with at least one international coauthor, while international reputation is determined through THE's annual Academic Reputation Survey. Institutions were eligible for inclusion if they received a minimum of 300 votes on the survey from leading scholars, ensuring a rigorous evaluation process.

BAU's remarkable achievement highlights its ongoing efforts to promote internationalization and establish fruitful research partnerships worldwide. By endorsing global collaboration, fostering an inclusive and diverse academic environment, and maintaining a reputable standing, Beirut Arab University will continue to make significant contributions to higher education. https://www.timeshighereducation.com/student/best-universities/most-international-universities-world
