Beirut Arab University Records an Achievement At the Arab Youth Competition in Doha

The Faculty of Health Sciences at Beirut Arab University participated in the Arab Youth Competition at the University of Doha for Science and Technology among 56 universities from 16 Arab countries. The post-graduate students Layan Helmi and Mayyas Osman, won second place for their project “Removal of Contaminants from Water Using Tomato Leaves as Adsorbent” under the supervision of the Head of Nutrition and Dietetics Prof. Nada El Darra.

The award was presented by the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, and the President of the University of Doha for science and technology, Dr. Salem Bin Nasser Al-Naemi.

This achievement represents a major win for Beirut Arab University, where students were selected from 106 participants and earned the second place in the post-graduate category, demonstrating Beirut Arab University's commitment for research and innovation.
