Professor Wael Nabil Abdel Salam, President of Beirut Arab University, participated in the 5th Arab Conference on Higher Education and Scientific Research. The conference was organized by the Association of Arab Universities (AARU) in cooperation with the Turkish Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and was hosted by the University of Tunis El Manar in the capital, under the theme: "Leadership, Governance, and Strategic Partnerships Between Arab and Turkish Universities."

During the conference event, Beirut Arab University, represented by its President, Professor Abdel Salam, signed ten academic cooperation agreements with a select group of leading Turkish universities. These universities are: Anadolu, Kocaeli, Hatay Mustafa Kemal, Ankara, Kirikkale, Istanbul Cerrahpaşa, Gaziantep, Düzce, Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy, and Haliç.

These agreements aim to enhance academic, research, and cultural exchange through student and faculty mobility, the implementation of joint research projects, and the organization of scientific conferences and specialized training workshops in multiple fields, including Medicine, Health Sciences, Engineering, Media, and Social Sciences. The agreements also aim to provide specialized training opportunities in the hospitals of the Turkish universities.

Furthermore, these agreements open new horizons for the university's students and faculty for cooperation and knowledge exchange, which contributes to developing their academic and research skills.

The conference served as a valuable opportunity to foster Arab-Turkish dialogue in the fields of education, research, and innovation. Beirut Arab University is set to continue its efforts to promote scientific and cultural exchange with regional and international universities, in line with the goals of sustainable development and the university's future vision for serving the community and education.
