Beirut Arab University, represented by its branch of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE-BAU), received the Award of Excellence for the year 2022-2023, which is awarded to only 20% of student branches worldwide. It is an appreciation of the exceptional performance of technical and professional activities held during this academic year at the Beirut Arab University.
By winning this award, it is considered a major achievement for students of their scientific and technical competence in the field of oil and gas, especially as Lebanon is prepared for a promising phase of oil exploration. It also proves the readiness of BAU students for the next phase, as well as it is the recognition that qualifies the university to receive additional funding and resources in order to support its future activities and initiatives.
The branch’s activities were evaluated by a committee of juries that consisted of experienced professionals in oil and gas industry who are skilled in meeting challenges and overcoming difficulties, taking into consideration a range of factors, the most important are: the quality and impact of the branch's technical activities, activating development, and the success of participation initiatives in the community.
