The Lebanese Association of Certified Public Accountants, in cooperation with Beirut Arab University - Tripoli Branch - organized a workshop entitled "The Audit File Guide.". The workshop discussed the updated version of the file, in accordance with the requirements of the International Auditing Standards issued by the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) till this date.
At the beginning of the workshop, the member of the Syndicate Council Mr. Fadi Al Masri welcomed the participants and expressed his appreciation for the fruitful cooperation with Beirut Arab University, represented by the director of Tripoli branch Professor Hani Al-Shaarani.
The workshop was presented by President of the Lebanese Association of Certified Public Accountants Elie Abboud and the Managing partner of Boutros-Cordahi & Partners - ECOVIS BCA Lebanon Mr. Toni Boutros, where they reviewed in an applied manner the basic stages of the audit process, starting from accepting the task all the way to issuing the auditor’s report, with a focus on the requirements of international standards and practical application mechanisms. The workshop also included a presentation of a number of practical cases that show the most prominent audit risks and how to deal with them.
The two-days workshop witnessed scientific discussions and the exchange of experiences among participants, which gave the event a high-level, interactive, professional nature.
