Beirut Arab University represented by its President Professor Amr Galal El Adawi signed an agreement of cooperation with the Association of Businessmen for Support and Development “IRADA” represented by its President Mr. Assem Nawam to provide support for the Healthcare Center of the Faculty of Medicine at Beirut Arab University in order to alleviate the spread of the COVID-19 Pandemic in Lebanon.
In the first stage, the agreement stipulated the establishment of a "Corona Telephone Clinic", a 24/7 service where IRADA provides three hotlines and the necessary equipment to receive referrals and emergency telephone consultations related to Coronavirus patients by specialists doctors from the university. In the second stage, an assessment and primary examination center for patients will be established under the name "Corona Field Clinics". They will be consisted from three equipped clinics in the university campus where the university shall bear the responsibility of selecting the medical staff, managing and handling the clinics. IRADA in its turn shall equip these clinics and the telephone clinic in addition to provide the cost of operation.
It is worth noting that this initiative is only a starting point for future social, health and educational initiatives between the two parties in accordance of society needs.
