The Media Center at BAU organized a 2-day training course in Mastering the Art of Rhetoric and Public Speaking. The training was presented by Ms. Abeer Ghazal, the director of the Media Center and a CIT public speaking trainer. The course combined theoretical explanations of rhetorical strategies and public speaking techniques with practical exercises that enabled trainees to practice their acquired skills and overcome their fear of speaking in public.
The closing ceremony also included a practical training session with the participants, where trainee Tala Hassan, in her first experience as an event host, presented the ceremony, followed by a speech from the guest speaker, Mr. Majed BouHadir, a media figure and public speaking trainer. Mr. Bou Hadir shared some of his expertise and emphasized the importance of perseverance, determination, quick wit, and self-confidence when taking the stage. Additionally, trainee Nour Nassar presented a speech on behalf of her fellow trainees. Finally, certificates of participation were distributed to the trainees in the presence of Professor Sideeka Lasheen, the Dean of the Faculty of Human Sciences, Professor Mahmoud Mahfouz, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Ms. Joumana Najar the Director of Al Makassed Hospital, along with a number of directors and professors.
