In line with its mission and vision, the Media Center at Beirut Arab University organized a two-day training workshop on mastering the art of podcast production presented by Moustafa Raad, an award-winning journalist and producer recognized with the Open-Eye International Award.
The training attracted participants of various specialties, regions, and ages, fostering a vibrant space for exchanging ideas and experiences. It was inaugurated with the presence of Professor Sideeka Lasheen, Dean of the Faculty of Human Sciences; Dr. Iman Alaywan, Head of the Media Department; and Dr. Helga Alaeddin, Assistant Dean. Everyone was welcomed before the theoretical sessions and practical exercises on the techniques used in podcast production were initiated.
The training culminated in a closing ceremony with the distribution of participation certificates and a short talk delivered by the journalist, Joseph Tawk, who inspired the participants to compose purposeful content that serves the society. He explained how trends are like bubbles that dazzle but quickly fade.
This event was graced by the presence of the University President, Prof. Wael Nabil Abed Elsalam, along with other directors and administrators who are interested in the topic of the training.
It is worth mentioning that the trainer, Mostafa Raad, highlighted in his word that the University's Media Center is the first in Lebanon to organize a training on podcast production at the level of universities.
This training reflects the university's commitment to providing advanced training programs aligned with scientific and digital developments, aiming to improve the University’s environment and society.
