The Media Center organized a training course titled “Journalists beyond the Yellow Tape” presented by the media figure and criminologist, Mrs. Pamela Hneine Bou Ghoson.
This training course offered a comprehensive experience in instigative journalism, covering theoretical aspects by explaining essential skills such as sample collection, photography, and visual evidence analysis. It also included practical training, where the trainees worked in teams, which helped to enhance the spirit of cooperation among them.
The training course was followed by a closing ceremony presented by trainee Nevine Orfa, who welcomed attendees and thanked them for their presence.
Additionally, the guest speaker, journalist Edmon Sassine, also played a role in this training, discussing the complementary relationship between journalism and investigation and offering some of his expertise in investigative journalism.
Next, the Director of the Media Center, Mrs. Abeer Ghazal, emphasized in her speech the great importance of this course, affirming that it aims to empower journalists and those interested in media coverage related to crime scenes and to enhance the role of journalism in serving the community by conveying facts ethically, accurately, and objectively.
In addition, the media trainer Pamela Hneine Bou Ghossn delivered a speech highlighting the important role of journalists in protecting crime scenes and utilizing all their details to achieve justice. She also praised the choice of BAU for such essential training topics in a country like Lebanon, where security stability is always at risk.
The ceremony concluded with the distribution of participation certificates to all participants in the course.
